THE OBJECTIONS · HONESTLY ANSWERED
Why not just a 'sovereign' German cloud, say Azure Sovereign, IONOS or OTC?

A sovereign cloud is still a cloud. Your engineering data leaves your premises, the model weights belong to someone else, and the contract term is shorter than your equipment lifecycle. Then there is physics. Robotics, manufacturing IoT and production control rooms need response times a cloud connection simply cannot deliver. A sovereign cloud contract is a rented flat in a foreign city, our appliance stands in your own server room.

Isn't it enough if the cloud provider's data centers are in Germany?

The physical location is not the same thing as legal certainty. A US-owned provider is subject to the US CLOUD Act, whether or not the servers sit in Frankfurt. A German address mitigates that legally, no more. If your data sits in your own server room, there is no third party anyone could compel to hand it over, because physically there is nobody for an order to be addressed to.

Our integrator can also deliver servers, so why zenpAI?

An integrator sells you the metal, cleanly racked. Connecting your data via RAG and orchestrating agents is rarely something they do in-house. We deliver all three layers as one vendor: the hardware, the local model and the agent layer that orchestrates your business processes. One responsibility, one invoice, one phone number.

What happens when a better model appears?

The hardware stays, the model moves up. When a better open model appears, we roll it out as an update. We agree any model change with you beforehand, since it can change how your workflows behave. What you get is a platform that can stay current, without your data ever leaving the building.

Do we need our own AI staff for this?

Not necessarily. We deliver the appliance ready to install and hand it over in full with documentation. Your team uses the system through an interface they already know from the cloud. If you would rather not run day-to-day operations yourself, you can add support optionally. Scope and terms are agreed in the intro call.

How fast are we in production, and what if it is too early?

From site visit to production we work in clearly separated phases, billed per phase. How long that takes depends on scope and data maturity. If the readiness check in phase 1 shows your data is not ready yet, we say so before any hardware is ordered. That costs you less than a pilot that never reaches production.

Note. The content on this page is general information, not legal advice. zenpAI delivers an architecture designed for GDPR and AI-Act compliance. The legal assessment of your specific deployment is made together with your data-protection and legal functions.
